About the Position:

The Partnership role is a critical position within Deshpande Skilling, focusing on building and nurturing partnerships with rural communities, local organizations, and other stakeholders. The individual will work closely with the Program Head to identify, onboard, and manage partners who can expand the reach of the service to the community. This role requires experience in the area of delivery of service through franchise channels, excellent communication skills and a passion for driving social impact.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

    We are looking for a dynamic and motivated manager to play a significant role in building the Deshpande Skilling’s platform of the future. This role will require: Advocacy and Awareness:
  • Actively evangelise the SIV program and identify potential partners.
  • Promote Deshpande Skilling’s mission and programs among stakeholders and the wider community.
  • Organize workshops, meetings, and events to raise awareness about skill development initiatives.
  • Partnership Development:
  • Conduct due diligence of partners and qualify partners.
  • Identify and engage potential partners (NGOs, local leaders, and community organizations) to collaborate on skill development initiatives in rural areas.
  • Develop funding models for impact through partnerships.
  • Develop models to incubate partners during early stages of program adoption.Write and formalize partnership contracts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with partners.
  • Program Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Program Head to align partnership goals with Deshpande Skilling’s objectives.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Track the progress of partnerships and program outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and share insights with the Program Head to improve program effectiveness.

Key Competency and skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of rural ecosystems and challenges.
  • Proficiency in local languages (if applicable) is a plus.
  • Passion for social impact and rural development.
  • We expect the candidate be willing to travel rural areas as required.
